Insurance with $0 excess also covers tyre and windscreen damage but not roof and underbody damage that is not the result of a road accident with another party involved.   Damage caused by drivers' misjudgement, (single vehicle incidents) or hitting a stationary object are easily avoidable and are not covered by insurance.
