The 4WD with roof tent is based on the 4×4 legend: the Toyota Landcruiser Troopcarrier or “Troopy’. It is literally a ‘go anywhere’ vehicle, there are hardly any road restrictions. It seats 2 people. All required camping gear can be used free of charge. This is the perfect 4WD vehicle to go ‘Bush’ with and to see all the remote beauty that the Australian Outback has to offer. You have the choice to either sleep in the large rooftent, or in the vehicle itself. These 4WD’s are unmarked (no advertising stickers for the rental company) so you will travel like Aussies and won’t look like a typical tourist!
Why not book this vehicle through us, and join an outback adventure tour (not the Canning Stock Route) with our partner Global Gypsies: click on their logo for more information!
FEATURES: Toyota Landcruiser with powerful yet economical V8 diesel motor, 5 speed manual high & low gear, power steering, air conditioning in driver cabin, modern stereo, 2 x 90 liter fuel tanks, 2 seats, snorkel, 2 spare wheels and electric winch. Jurjen and Ina Rook, The Netherlands, 4wd 2p Bushcamper with 4×4 recovery kit, Australia July-Aug 2019
We have had a fantastic holiday, everything was very well organised vehicle-wise! Handy to have everything we needed available in the 4×4 camper.
The vehicle was in excellent mechanical condition, we have been informed very well prior and during the handover, and we are very happy with the service and quality of communication with TotallyCampers.
best regards, Jurjen and Ina Rook
red: mr Rook adds that for tall (6.6′ ) people like himself, a 4×4 with roof tent might be better suited in terms of sleeping arrangements.
Victoria Barker-Smith, Ringwood, Melbourne Australia, 2012 and 2016, 4wd TCC Bushcamper
“2016 will be the second time that we have used Totally Campers, and we would certainly not consider using anyone else. Our first trip was booked and managed with such care and understanding of our concerns and (unlike many of the on-line booking sites) we felt that we had a totally personal service, to answer our questions (no matter how silly) and ensure that all our needs were met. We had a magic holiday the first time around, with a really good price for the camper hire and the camper itself totally fitted our expectations and requirements…don’t go anywhere else!!”
With best regards,
Victoria
